The right-wing activist group Turning Point USA on February 8 sponsored an event billed as an alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show headlined by pop singer Bad Bunny. President Trump summed up the radical right’s condemnation of the Bad Bunny event when he posted on social media:
- “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.
- Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting…This 'Show' is just a 'slap in the face' to our Country.’ ”
Oh, gee. Turns out the Turning Point show was more in tune with warped Republican sexual morality than they realized. Kid Rock, one of the Turning Point stars, once released a song with lyrics many times more salacious and dismissive of basic morality than Bad Bunny’s speaking only Spanish during his performance. Kid Rock’s song included the lyrics:
"I like 'em underage
Some say that's statutory
But I say it's mandatory."
The lyrics appeared in the song "Cool, Daddy Cool," which was used in the 2001 part-animation, part-live-action film "Osmosis Jones." An anthem for Trump and all the other Republican fans of sex pervert Jeffrey Epstein.
