//Georgia Republicans are feeding gleefully at the trough//
From the Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
klep·toc·ra·cy | \ klep-ˈtä-krə-sē \
: government by those who seek chiefly status and personal gain at the expense of the governed also : a particular government of this kind
All over the Western world, democratic governments are being subverted and corrupted by being turned into kleptocracies by the ruling elite. The model they are following is Russia under Vladimir Putin.
Donald Trump and the Republicans are adhering to the model with religious-like fervor. They put selves, family, and party above the interests of the people. They are single-mindedly devoted to enriching themselves and the richest of their followers, the bulk of whom are not rich but are too deluded to see how they are being fleeced.
The latest example of the Republican kleptocracy at work: Trump and the Republicans are thinking about another tax cut, doubling down on the one in 2017 that overwhelming benefited the rich at the expense of ordinary Americans.
And here’s the latest headline:
So the Trump, Inc. kleptocracy keeps rolling along. The one-percenters and corporations are about to get richer, while we average Americans are left with a crumbling infrastructure, wage stagnation, an educational system that does not educate, young Americans already facing massive educational loan debt or simply being shut out of higher education altogether, and rising health care premiums and drug costs–or simply, no health care insurance at all.
But Republican one-percenters are set to get a larger share of their already widely disproportionate slice of the pie–while average Americans suffer from more pollution and environmental degradation and low-paying jobs, and face more and more of their tax money going to pay for the massive debts the Republicans are running up to increase the wealth of the wealthiest Americans.
Ain’t kleptocracy grand? Just ask Ivanka, Jared, Eric, and Don Jr.
